The man for colorful tattoos
Mike O’Farrell is a professional tattoo artist at Mantra Tattoo in Lakewood Colorado. At the age of 19, Mike began tattooing on himself and friends.
“The first year of tattooing was the hardest, but the thing I love about it is that it’s always changing, every day is different,” now it’s been over 10 years and his work clearly shows his experience.
He is a versatile artist who pays attention to details. Though his favorite tattoos involve the using bright color, he doesn’t discard using other techniques.
“I don’t like to say that I have one specific style.”
Contrary to what some people think, he considers tattooing to be a “legitimate” art form. His work shows us that the body may be the best canvas there is for the artist.
“It’s just like painting except your canvas is skin.”

Mike enjoys doing his colorful work in traditional and neo-traditional styles.
“I do realism, traditional, new school, Japanese, and script lettering, just to name a few.”
