Geno Somma Mandala Tattoo Time-lapse Part 2

In Video

This Mandala tattoo was done by Geno Somma here at Mantra tattoo in Lakewood, Colorado. Geno worked on this mandala tattoo for almost 6 hours in two different sessions and we captured all of it compiled into a time-lapse video that is only a few minutes long! Its interesting to watch the entire course of a tattoo come together in only a few minutes. This style of tattooing is something that Geno really favors in his work.

The Sanskrit meaning of mandala is circle. The circle is a symbol of perfection, eternity, unity and completeness. Given these meanings, it’s no wonder mandalas are such important symbols in all cultures and so common in the tattoo community as they always translate into amazing tattoos! Mandalas are incredibly versatile and can personify any number of meanings for the viewer. Since they are so versatile in design they are drawn from scratch and every mandala is going to be unique to the client! The meaning each mandala holds is limited only by the creator and the observer.
