Dragon and Hannya mask tattoos, what better subject matter for a Neo-Japanese tattoo could there be? These three things have been used since the beginning of classic tattooing. Combined they hold a wide range of meaning for the client getting this tattoo. Dragons are some of the most fierce images in Japanese art.  They often symbolize strength & wisdom.  Dragons are destructive forces, but they are also considered guardians.

The Hannya Mask is a mask used in Noh theater which was meant to represent a jealous female demon. It possesses two sharp bull-like horns, metallic eyes, and a leering mouth. It represents the souls of women who have become demons due to their jealousy or obsession.
